Needless Panic

I keep starting on pages, but then I wind up throwing what I draw out and start over. So if the next page is delayed, that’s probably why.

I have dozens of started and unfinished pages myself of AG and DB. I try to work out kinks in the story line. Originally the story is a sort of mash up of many of the started but unfinished attempts to write a novel during NaNoWriMo, but telling a story in comic form is totally different than telling it with just words.

I actually have quite a few finished inked pages that I decided not to go with. At one point, back when the comic updated three times per week, I had drawn and even started coloring around a dozen pages, but I realized that I hated them so much, it was actually ruining the comic for me. If I had decided to post those comics, I would not still be making this comic. At the time, I had a very sizable buffer, but it dwindled quickly. I had to sacrifice Saturday updates, but it was worth it.

Still having writer’s block? I really like this comic a lot and keep checking for an update.

If it helps any, I don’t think any of your fans care if you just upload scribbles of ideas and stuff. Shows that you’re trying, which is what most of us care about. I don’t want to offend you or anything but the lack of update for half a year is beginning to feel like a dead comic. Plus getting ideas out can help overcome writers block. I believe in you, mate. Keep on goin’.

This long delay has not been what what I intended and nor does such a delay correspond with my work ethic. This comic is very important to me and it’s not something I would allow to die. Not until I am finished with the story I want to tell. I can’t offer excuses other than that I feel like I haven’t been able to do justice to the ideas I have planned. On the bight side, I have recently had more time to devote to the comic and I tried to take advantage of that opportunity the best I could.

I promise that 2014 will be a better year for the comic and updates will resume soon. I know “soon” is a sketchy word, but believe me when I say “soon” as in “very soon”. Progress is being made.

I thank you and anyone who may be lurking for your patience and interest. I’m just happy that anyone enjoys what I do and that really does push me to do what I can as quickly and as well as possible.
