This page really brings up the artist/creator dilemma of “How do these creatures move?” That basically boils down to “What kind of creatures are frogoblims?”

To say that frogoblims are indeed based off of one or two different animals (at least for reference) would be untrue. I have honestly considered and taken characteristics from many different animals while I was still developing the species. Monkies, anole lizards, chameleons, frogs, dogs, and cats are just a few of the animals I draw inspiration from. Maggot’s pose is somewhat catlike in the fifth panel, for example. There is somewhat of a mystery as to if frogoblims are mammals, reptiles, amphibians, or something different entirely. That’s a mystery that will probably be expanded on much later.

Can the people feel frogoblims if they were to be touched by one or is the sense of contact cut off unless they’re hurt by the creature?

Though there are some loopholes, no one would feel it if one touched them. Frogoblims are reality warping beings and they seem to exist on a different reality than humans, while still in the same world. Also, frogoblims effect the senses in ways that are incomprehensible to humans. Think about it in the same way dogs and other animals hear things that people can’t, but those sounds are still there.

I hope that clears things up! I hope to touch on issues like this in the future of the comic.
