Vision

I think it’s important to note that the way Maggot is seen by anyone who has to look through an object isn’t the same as the way Jared or you (the audience) sees Maggot. She’s like an unreal illusion to Harper, and as displayed, when Harper takes off her glasses and earrings, it may as well be like turning off a TV.

That doesn’t stop Maggot from being real, however.

I have a question. Shouldn’t the neckerchief be visible, at least? Because it seems to me that their invisibility would not apply to clothes, seeming as they don’t naturally wear them.

Once a frogoblim takes and wears something, it basically becomes a part of their level of reality. It’s basically a way that frogoblims are able to conceal their existence.

A Frogoblim can even take something right from out under a person’s nose and they wouldn’t even know it. That’s basically what happened here: http://filteredfuzz.com/?p=317

She.. really oughta sleep with those earrings on if she wants Maggot to be an effective watch.
