I don’t know how to knit or sew. I’m sure it’d be a handy ability. To sew, at least. I don’t really know how knitting would come in handy. For anyone who wonders how or why Jared learned how to knit, he lives with his grandmother. She or some of her friends taught him how when he was a child.

    How knitting is useful:

You’re waiting somewhere and some people are around but you’re too shy to strike up a conversation. So you pull out yarn and start knitting a scarf (or something). The people around you look and say “Wow, you can knit?!” and then you start talking.

Well, anytime I’ve seen someone who can knit, this is how I’ve reacted. I’m not sure if it’s universal, though.

I think there’s that reaction, but then there’s also the “You knit? I think my great-grandma used to do that. My goodness, I didn’t know people still do that.”

Yay! I knew he was gonna make something for her. I can’t wait to get a better look.
