Hey, look! It’s Maggot!

I’m going to try to have Monday’s comic finished in advanced, but there’s a chance it may not be finished on time due to the Labor Day weekend.

I feel like this particular sequence of pages should be read one after another. There;s so much back and forth from one scene (Harper’s point of view) to the other (Jared’s point of view) that I could see how it would be confusing on its own.

Things will settle down a bit in the next two or three pages though.

Sorry for the delay, everyone! I’ve been so busy penciling and inking upcoming comics that I didn’t realize I needed to make corrections to this page until relatively last minute. I just didn’t think the first two panels were working at all.

I think the most complicated part of writing this conversation between Jared and Harper is showing that Harper’s necklace is a tool for communication. Basically as it’s already been established, anchors (like Harper’s necklace) serve two purposes: 1. Grounding the wearer into reality. 2. Contacting those who are in other realities. Anchors are not vessels for alternate realities. They just serve like a telephone, and and detector of the condition of realities. Jared isn’t in the necklace. He’s in a completely different, extremely unstable environment - an alternate, incomplete and deteriorating reality.
